Garden at St Clere
The splendour of the house at St Clere can be seen for miles around, but it is only when you come to visit us that you realise much of its real beauty and sense of history comes from the gardens. Every season offers something special.

Tours
Private groups can wander around secret pathways to discover ancient yews, herbaceous borders and rare shrubs. A tour with our head gardener finished off with cream tea, anyone? More information.

Meetings
A fresh dimension. Move outside to relax, explore or hold your meeting – weather permitting.

Weddings
A romantic dream: views across the valley; pathways, arches, avenues and follies.

Garden Rooms
The orangery and the converted real tennis court building are perfect for holding inside and outside functions spilling onto Governor’s Green.

Activities
The refined surroundings cannot be responsible for extreme competitiveness. Garden games have always been a feature at St Clere: croquet, lawn bowls, tennis, table tennis, squash and rounders, not forgetting hide and seek – time limit sometimes required to be in time for tea.
